MARHAZ was founded by Svend Boes Overgaard and Dr. Frank Stuer-Lauridsen, bringing over 40 years of combined maritime experience and a strong commitment to environmental responsibility and safe ship recycling.
In 2024, CTD and Litehauz merged their ship recycling activities into MARHAZ, creating a company dedicated to hazardous materials management, IHM compliance, and sustainable solutions.
We combine technical expertise with modern digital tools to make environmental compliance smarter, safer, and more effective.

At MARHAZ, we operate under the ISO 17020 management system and work exclusively with accredited laboratories that comply with EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 or equivalent standards.
We are an approved service supplier with several leading classification societies, ensuring that our inspections and IHM services meet the highest international standards.
