About MARHAZ Ltd
Building a sustainable maritime value chain in Bangladesh
MARHAZ Ltd, located in Chattogram, Bangladesh, was established in 2025 as a subdivision of MARHAZ ApS, Denmark, to meet the growing need for local presence and expertise in the area of sustainable ship recycling as well as general environmental compliance in the maritime value chain.
MARHAZ Ltd builds on the comprehensive work done by our mother company which have been involved in the green transition of the ship recycling sector in Chattogram for Standard Chartered Bank since 2014 working with three of their main clients, PHP, S.N. Corporation and Kabir Group.

Ship recycling services
MARHAZ Ltd provides consultancy, inspection and supervisory services for the ship recycling sector within environmental, occupational health and safety, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) aspects.
Compliance
Hong Kong Convention and EU Ship Recycling regulation gap assessment and upgrade planning of infrastructure and operation with compliance support and supervision throughout upgrade execution. IHM services to identify hazmats on vessels.
Profitability and culture
Analysis of operation productivity and work culture enabling efficiency and safety improvements. Monitoring of operations and cultural workshops designed to strengthen awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement.
ESG practices & reporting
Managing environmental and social risks, and strengthening compliance, transparency, and responsible business practices across the organisation. Reporting services include climate impact, waste circularity, safety and TRIR reporting.
Strengthening the maritime value chain in South Asia
Beyond ship recycling, MARHAZ Ltd also services a variety of stakeholders in the maritime value chain with regards to environmental, climate, and safety aspects, in an effort to strengthening the sustainability agenda within the maritime sector in Bangladesh.
